The General Practice Awards is an annual event which recognises the efforts of healthcare practitioners, nurses, practice managers, practices and their suppliers. In 2013, the event was held at the Lancaster Hotel in London, and over 650 primary care personnel were invited to enjoy a luxury five star meal followed by an awards ceremony.
Amongst these personnel were Premier Patient Line, a telecommunications company which is part of the Premier Group. For several years, Premier Patient Line has supplied over 800 GP surgeries and medical practices across the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland with specialist telephony solutions. These communications systems have enabled practice managers to improve patient access to their surgeries, as well as significantly reducing the financial expenditures of these surgeries. Consequently, Premier Patient Line were commended for their efforts at the awards ceremony; during which they were nominated as a national finalist for the title of ‘Communications Provider of the Year’.
